Wissey Half Marathon

Father and son Brian and Karl Wright took part in the Wissey Half Marathon on Sunday. The race started and finished in the village of Oxborough and is a fast flat run round the Norfolk countryside. In very warm conditions Karl completed the course in 1:43:45 and Brian in 2:07:07

This years South of England Track and Field Championships was held at Lee Valley Athletics Centre. The weekend proved successful with several Thetford athletes bringing home medals. Quadkids Success for Smythe

The final round of the Quadkids series was held at Kings Lynn. Thetford athlete Ronnie Hughes finished in 16th place in the years 4&5 age group and earned 146 points (80m 13.6; 600m 2:29; Standbg Long Jump 1.28m; Howler 24.8m). St Neots Tri Qualifier for European Championship

Charlotte Smith qualified for the European Triathlon Championships Standard Distance 2019 at the weekend. The qualifying race was held at St Neots and included a 1500m river swim, 45k bike, 10k run. Charlotte finished in 2:26:27 for 2nd place in her age group.
