COUNTY SUCCESS FOR THETFORD ATHLETES Both the Norfolk and Suffolk Track and Field Championships took place throughout the weekend with representatives from Thetford AC taking part in both events. Linda brings home trophy at Dereham 10

Linda Cusack was victorious in winning her age group at the Dereham 10 mile event last weekend. In warm sunny conditions Linda was the first V60-64 female athlete to finish in a time of 1:21:50, this also secured her the Norfolk Gold Medal which is part of the Sports Link Grand Prix Series. Breckland 10k 2019

Gear 10k

Thetford AC were well represented at the Kings Lynn Gear 10k last weekend. In ideal chilly conditions and having only just completed the London Marathon on the previous weekend Jason Elrick finished the course in 42.03, Charlie Stone 42.09, Richard Crewe 44.03, Paul Rayner 46.00, Nicola Greenough 46.51 and Stephanie Clouston 48.12

Fun Run at Breckland 10k

Thetford AC hosted a fun run at the annual Breckland 10k. The fun run was open to anyone up to the age of 12 and we had 30 entries including our youngest ever runners both age 1! The children completed 3 laps of the village hall field to earn a medal and some sweets!

Grafham Water Chilly Triathlon

Charlotte Smith competed in the Grafham Water Standard distance triathlon at the weekend. In testing chilly conditions Charlotte completed the 1k swim (shortened due to the cold conditions), 38k bike and 10k run in 2:16:41 to finish 3rd in her age group which would have been a qualifying place for the ITU World Championships 2020.
