Ryston Cross Country Series Success

RYSTON CROSS COUNTRY SERIES SUCCESS

The final race of the 2018/19 Ryston Runners Cross Country Series was held at Shouldham Warren in wet and windy conditions.

Bethany Wilson raced to a 1st place finish in the U13 Girls race and Callum Wing took 2nd place in the U13 boys race.

Thetford AC had a great series with many athletes taking home overall series awards. 

In the U13 boys category, Ben Peck took 1st place overall with Jake Dorbin claiming 2nd place overall. Ben was also awarded the Outstanding Performance award by the organisers.

Bethany Wilson was 1st overall in the U13 girls category.

There was also success for Thetford in the U15 boys category where James Peck claimed the series win.

Seniors also did the club proud with Simon and Charlotte Smith taking Veteran 40 men’s and women’s respective titles. Liz Peck was 3rd overall in the Vet 40 women’s category followed by Kevin Vaughan who claimed 2nd overall in the Vet 55 men’s series.

This proved a successful 2018/19 series for Thetford AC with the club claiming 3rd place in the Visitors Club competition.
