East Anglian League Action

The latest round of the East Anglian Track and Field League was held at Braintree.
The sole Thetford AC athlete competing in the U11 boys age group was Monty Findlay. Monty contested the 80m (12.4) and long jump (3.38m).
In the U13 Girls Alicia Mae Howard came 4th in the 100m (15.4), 4th in Shot (6.54m) with a Pb throw and 3rd in Javelin (19.85m) which was her second Pb of the day.
Bethany Wilson came 2nd in the 1500m (5:29.9) and 4th in the long jump (3.75m).
In the U13 boys Daniel Clouston came 6th in the 200m with a pb (31.6) and 2nd in the 800m (2:32).
Alfie Findlay contested the 800m (2:46.1) while Thomas Norkett came 4th in the discus with a pb throw of 10.88m.
The U15 Girls saw Abigail Clouston come 6th in the 300m with a pb of 31.6 and 4th in the 800m (2:32.7) which was also a pb.
U15 boy Ben Peck came 6th in the 200m with a Pb run of 28.7, 6th in the Javelin (14.87m) and then came 1st in the 1500m (4:25.3).
The U17 women’s event saw Jessica Norkett front run the 1500m to finish in first place with a 5 second pb (4:36.6) and also break the County record which has stood since 1982.
Josh McGuire, representing the U17 men finished 6th in the 100m (12.9), 5th in the 200m (25.5) and 3rd in the high jump (1.35m).
