NATIONAL TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Thetford Athletics Club trio Jessica Norkett, James Peck and Ben Peck all achieved the qualifying times in their respective events for this year’s England Athletics National Championships. They therefore travelled to Bedford where the championships were once again held at the Paula Radcliffe Stadium.
Competing in the U15 Boys 3000m, Ben Peck had a fantastic battle down the home straight, finishing in 2nd place and missing out on 1st place by 0.07 seconds.
James Peck contested the U15 Boys 1500m. After finishing 4th in heat 2, James then followed this up the next day with an 11th place finish in the final.
Jessica Norkett qualified for the U17 women’s 1500m where she finished in an admirable 8th place in the final.
