Thetford Athletics Club hosted the annual Breckland 10k in record breaking hot temperatures of 26 degrees on Monday 7th May 2018. The race attracted a large turnout with over 280 athletes braving the hot temperatures. Winner of the race was Adrian Mussett (Colchester Harriers) in 33:26, 1st female was Mable Beckett (City of Norwich AC) in 38:19.
The race was kindly sponsored by The Light Cinema (pictured above with the race winner and club chairman Dean Kirton and race director Clare Slattery).
Children from the ages of 3 to 13 enjoyed a 2/3 lap run of the playing field with a few obstacles for fun. They all received a goody bag and certificate.
