Thetford athlete Jessica Norkett was selected for the Norfolk Senior ladies team for the Hibbard Trophy event held in Bury St Edmunds. This event brought together athletes from the counties of Norfolk, Suffolk,Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Essex to contest for the Hibbard/Bemax trophy.
Jess represented Norfolk in the senior ladies 800m b race where she stormed to a comfortable 1st place finish, ending the season on a high with a personal best time of 2:18.
Jess was then chosen to be part of the senior ladies 4x400m team, running a 400m race for the first time. The team flew round all four legs to a first place finish with a combined time of 4:06.
The Norfolk senior ladies team finished in 2nd place overall just behind Cambridgeshire who were victorious and took the Bemax Trophy.
