Wet and windy weather was the theme for the local Saxon Duathlon held at West Stow at the weekend. Thetford AC were well represented in the event with some first time duathletes taking part. The race was a 5k run, 25k bike, 5k run. Both runs were off-road and first to finish and 3rd overall was Simon Smith in 1:19:11, next back for Thetford was Jason Elrick in 1:29:41 followed closely by Steve Dickens 1:30:04 for 1st in the veteran age group. Other results include Richard Doleman 1:40:17, Avril Squire 1:58:52, Heidi Smith 2:17:52, Jennie Chamberlain 2:17:52, Anna Dean 2:17:53.
