Six Thetford athletes have been training hard over the Winter months to complete the Manchester Marathon which was held at the weekend. The event was host to almost 14,000 runners and is said to be one of Britains flattest marathon courses with amazing crowd support. With near perfect weather conditions there were P.B’s all round with Neil Vendy being the first Thetford runner to finish his first ever marathon in 4:01:21, he was followed by Andrew Smith 4:13:32, Sean West 4:15:46, Rachel Greenfield 4:23:03 (first marathon), Kelly McGill 4:28:42 and Kayleigh Bailey 4:37:59
