SOUTH OF ENGLAND CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS Parliament Hill, one of the most iconic cross country venues, hosted this years South of England XC Championships. The course is famed for its tough conditions where the athletes start at the bottom of Parliament Hill and climb the long incline before continuing along the rest of the course. …

Lauren Goldsmith completed her debut at the Keith Ward Memorial Indoor Track Competition at the weekend. Competing in the 60m sprint for the first time Lauren clocked 9.9 seconds and finished 5th female, 3rd Senior female and won a bronze medal for the county.

Team TAC were represented by Peter Elliot, Kayleigh Bailey, Richard Crewe and Linda Cusack at the Bam Nuttall Freethorpe 10 mile race hosting the first race in the Sport Link Grand prix series. Thetford AC Junior and Seniors were well represented at the fourth round of the Ryston Runners Cross Country Series at the weekend. Sabine Schaefer represented Thetford AC in the Dubener Silvesterlauf 10k (New Years Eve 10k), back in her local town in Germany. Sabine flew the flag for Thetford AC around the undulating Cross Country course finishing 2nd in her age group and 3rd female overall in 44:33.

It was race 2 in the Suffolk Cross Country League held in Woodbridge that brought home some great results for Thetford AC. In the Junior 2 mile race it was Jake Dorbin and Bethany Wilson both finishing 2nd in their age groups (U13) in 12:10 and 14:00. For the Seniors it was Karl Wright home …
